Our Objectives for Club Engagement

Our aim is to try and encourage as many clubs as possible across the university to use our leagues as another way to come together and socialise and try a new sport. It is also a good opportunity for the sports clubs in which we hold leagues in to be able to develop there players so that there is a pipeline to chose from when your senior players move on. This can help build your community network and create a great alternative to your regular training sessions. Listed below are a few of the sports clubs that we have worked with throughout this programme to allow for it to flourish.

  • UCL Red Star FC
  • Women's Cricket Club
  • Boat Club
  • RUMS Football, Cricket and Netball
  • Netball Club
  • Men's Cricket Club
  • Men's Football Club
  • Volleyball Club
  • Badminton Club
  • Horse Riding Club
  • Women's Basketball Club
  • Men's Basketball Club

What We Can Offer You As a Club

Weekly Leagues

These are a great opportunity to bring your club together each week for some friendly (and very affordable!) competition with other UCL students, and who wouldn’t want bragging rights on campus?

The social leagues run termly, so you don’t even need to commit your group for the whole year. We understand that timetables change on a termly basis, so making all of our social leagues a termly commitment reduces this barrier!

The leagues include a handful of sports which are open to all abilities, with beginner friendly options too! University is such a great time to try something new/develop the skills you already have.

We are also able to take payment for the league directly from your Club account. If this is the route you would like to go down, you will need to get your president or treasurer to purchase our 'Club and Society - Pay by Invoice' ticket. You can find that from our drop down options here when you go to purchase your ticket.

You are able to contact us on [email protected] or book a meeting with our TeamUCL Leagues Assistant - details below.

One Off Events

Our one-off events give you the opportunity to bring your club together for friendly competition with other UCL students without the regular commitment of entering a weekly League. Our events are designed for all abilities, and we can guarantee light-hearted competition and lots of fun; who knows, you may even get the chance to lift the trophy at the end!

We are aware that you may not be able to commit to weekly leagues, which is why we host these one-off events.

We host a verity of sports across the year so keep your eyes peeled for more. If you have a suggestion for a one off-event, please let us know by email [email protected].

We are also able to take payment for the event entry directly from your Club account. All we require is an email from either your President or Treasurer confirming that they are happy for this to happen, then you can leave the rest to us.

You are able to contact us on [email protected] or book a meeting with our TeamUCL Leagues Assistant - details below.

Support With Hosting Your Own Sporting Event

If we don't have the equipment you require, you can apply for a grant by clicking here.

If this is something you are thinking about, please do get in touch. We would love to provide as much support as we possibly can, and can even help with your grant application.

You can either book a meeting with our TeamUCL Leagues Assistant (details below) or contact us via [email protected].
