Options

Evelyn Salter

Evie is a vibrant and well-known figure across TeamUCL, recognised for her warmth, energy, and exceptional organisational flair. As Social Secretary, alongside her co-lead, she has transformed UCLWRFC’s social culture into one that is welcoming, inclusive, and intentionally accessible to non-drinkers—creating a genuine sense of belonging within TeamUCL.
Her outreach has connected the club with a wide range of societies and sports teams, strengthening cross-club relationships and fostering a more unified student community. These efforts have opened new opportunities for participation and made a large university feel close-knit.
Alongside her off-field impact, Evie has delivered in key BUCS fixtures, contributing to a league-winning season—all while balancing the demands of a full-time lab schedule in her final year. Her ability to bring people together and perform under pressure makes her a truly outstanding candidate for the Mandy Walker Cup.

Yan Tat Loo

Yan Tat has always led by example, whether that be on the court as a member of the Badminton M1 team or as the current captain of the team. An incredibly positive person to be around, he has actively engaged with TeamUCL throughout the year and is always willing to help the wider TeamUCL Community. Yan Tat is an exceptionally valued member of TeamUCL and has a genuine and sincere care for members of his club and TeamUCL. Alongside this, his dedication to being a sports rep only adds to the level of commitment he has shown towards Badminton Club and the wider teamucl community

Valentino Thomas

Valentino has led the largest sports club at UCL, UCL Hiking Club, achieving over 1000 paid members and over 2000 overall members (including tasters). His dedication to the club and it's network is unparalleled, from doubling the number of hikes each weekend, to enabling 10s of walk leaders to support activity, and running two back-to-back week long trips. Valentino is liked by all members and amongst the TeamUCL community.

Emer Carnegie

Emer is a respected and widely recognised leader within TeamUCL, known for her warmth, approachability, and genuine kindness. As President of one of UCL’s largest sports clubs, Netball Club, she has led with calm consistency and integrity, earning the trust and respect of the wider TeamUCL community.
On the field, her dedication and work ethic saw her progress to the first team, contributing to a Varsity-winning season while quietly setting the standard for others to follow. Off the field, she has made a lasting impact by introducing a more inclusive trial system and helping grow a charity tournament that has engaged clubs across UCL.
Committed, thoughtful, and community-driven, Emer embodies the very best of TeamUCL.
