We've had a lot of enquiries from students about ways to help in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine, so we've pulled together some links to resources. We hope you find them useful.
The UCL School of Slavonic & Eastern European Studies has set up this useful page - check out their Twitter as well for regular updates.
If you're able to donate money to support Ukrainian Refugees, the Disaster Emergency Committee is appealing for donations, as are UNICEF UK, the British Red Cross, Save the Children, and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK. London Plus has a comprehensive list of London-based organisations to support.
UCL Students for Ukraine have also come up with their Top 10 charities supporting Ukraine to consider donating to - check them out on this leaflet.
The Ukrainian Institute London has a list of organisations to support. This twitter thread focuses on LGBTQ+ and youth feminist organisations. Further fundraising appeals supporting refugees, disabled people and animal shelters have also been shared on linktree.
As more opportunities to volunteer here in London emerge, we'll be promoting these in our newsletter and on our Opportunities Finder
If you're currently running activities to support the relief effort in your area we'd love to hear from you - and if you'd like to get more support please consider applying to set up a student-led community project or get our support with fundraising for UK-registered charities on campus.
If you are in need of any personal advice take a look at our recent article about this highlighting how the Students' Union is here to support you.
