UCL will welcome students, staff, alumni and the general public to UCL Illuminated – a series of spectacular light and sound shows in the newly remodelled Quad. Come along for a night to remember, celebrating UCL’s past, present and future and launching a year of celebrations for UCL's 200th birthday!
Save the date to celebrate together
The countdown has officially begun! Save the date for UCL Illuminated – a spectacular sound and light experience that will kick off our bicentennial celebrations from 11-13 February 2026.
You'll be able to explore the Quad and enjoy the newly remodelled Wilkins Building spaces for the first time. Attendees will also be able to visit the UCL200 Exhibition, experience an awesome AI installation, see The UCL Eye, and discover UCL200 publications and merchandise. A range of food and drinks will be available, and every attendee will receive a UCL200 souvenir gift.
What's happening and when?
UCL are planning multiple showings across the evenings of Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February 2026, so there will be a number of options to choose from. There will be reserved allocations for students, staff and alumni – so you should be able to choose the time which suits you best and plan to come along with colleagues, friends or family.
The full show schedule will be released before the end of November, along with ticket bookings. Watch this space!
Ticket details
Tickets will cost £5 each, which includes entry to UCL Illuminated and a UCL200 souvenir gift. All proceeds from ticket sales will go back to supporting UCL students.
UCL want to ensure everyone will be able to attend, so if the cost is a barrier you'll be able to request a complimentary ticket.
Under-16s will be able to attend for free, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
