UCL will be closed from 5:30pm on Wednesday 16 April 2025 to 9:00am on Wednesday 23 April 2025. 

As we approach the Easter break, we want to make sure you know what support is available – both on campus and beyond. Whether you're staying local, need someone to talk to, or just want to check what services are open, here’s everything you need to know.

UCL East Campus Building Access

Weekend opening hours will be in operation throughout the closure period:

  • 7am to 10pm - Students and Staff
  • 9am to 6pm - General Public

Security will still be on duty in both buildings.

Study spaces and facilities

  • One Pool Street 1st floor Study Hub – 7am to 10pm
  • The Marshgate library and student helpdesk in the library will be closed throughout the closure period, however, four libraries at Bloomsbury will remain open, 3 of which will be open 24/7.
  • Marshgate 4th floor project space – 7am to 10pm
  • All study spaces on campus that are not within the library - 7am to 10pm
  • One Pool Street Digital Accessibility Hub - 8am to 10pm for those students who have approved access
  • Marshgate media clusters are open normal hours (rooms 226, 227, 228 - 9am to 9pm, rooms 301 and 300 - 9am to 6pm)

UCL East Catering Outlets

Catering spaces will all be closed throughout the closure period. Afterwards, before Term 3 starts, some catering outlets will be open Monday - Friday:

  • Pool Street Café - 09:00 to 16:00
  • Marshgate Café  - 08:00 to 17:00
  • Refectory - lunchtime opening only – 11:30 to 14:30
    (Refectory Coffee Shop closed until Term 3)
