If you haven't heard about us before, welcome to Neal Street Rewards, our loyalty app.
Previously known as Teya, Neal Street Rewards (NSR) is the loyalty app we use in our Students' Union UCL cafés that allows you to collect points on every purchase you make which you can then use to earn rewards (such as free food and drink) or access to exclusive offers.
Grabbing a morning coffee or a meal deal? Just pay by scanning the NST code in the app at the till and you'll earn 1 point for every 1p you spend. It works in the same way as your Google or Apple Wallet. Collect your points up and you can trade in for a variety of free goodies. It's that simple, and you'll be surprised at how many free lunches you'll suddenly be getting!
In case that wasn't enough, we also add limited time offers throughout the year so there's even more savings to be had - such as a free hot drink on us with your first purchase through NSR!
How does it work?
It's really similar to how you may use your Google or Apple Wallet to pay for items via your phone. All you need to do is download the Neal Street Rewards (NSR) app for free on Google Play for Android or the Apple App Store. Once downloaded set up your an account and then follow the steps in the video below to use the app in one of our outlets (you'll need to have your card linked to NSR app to be able to pay with the QR code).
*We're in the process of updating our video guide - this clip shows the Teya app which was NSR's previous name however the steps remain the same.
Redeeming points is just as easy and way more fun! Simply pick what you're going to treat yourself to and find the voucher in your in-app wallet to scan at the till.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I redeem a promo/discount code
If you have received a promotion or discount code you will need to add this to your account within the app.
In the settings menu will be a 'promo code' option where you can type the unique code you have received.
If your voucher code gives you a monetary value e.g. 'here's £5 on us' you will need to use this credit all in one purchase. The credit balance does not carry over to future purchases.The value of the promo offer/discount code is not exchangeable for cash and cannot be transferred.
- Can I use the app elsewhere?
Yes there are a number of companies signed up to use the Neal Street Rewards programme. Use the map to search local businesses taking part. Please note that points are not transferable between businesses.
- What happened to Teya?
Nothing! Neal Street Rewards and Teya are owned by the same company - Teya just had a rebrand to give it a new name and look.
- I have a technical problem with the app
Unfortunately as the app is provided directly by Neal Street Rewards we can't help you - however their support team will be happy to help you with any app problems or issues.
