We believe every student should be able to fully participate in their studies but we know that cost is a major barrier for many.

Students face additional and sometimes unexpected costs when completing assessments, whether that’s paying for materials, software, printing, travel, or specialist equipment. These costs can quickly add up and, for some, make it harder to engage fully or perform at their best.

As your Education Officer I want to better understand your experience of additional costs incurred when you study. This short survey is designed to understand the real cost of studying. I want to know what students are paying, when those costs arise, and how they impact your experience. By sharing your perspective, you’re helping us build a clear picture of where financial barriers exist across different departments.

Your responses will directly inform the work we do with UCL to push for change. I want to ensure that your academic experience isn’t shaped by how much you can afford to spend.

This is your opportunity to make your voice heard and help improve things not just for yourself, but for future students too. It only takes a few minutes to complete, please do share it with your friends.
