There are just 500 days to go until the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth games, which will be one of the largest sporting events to be held in the UK for a decade. England Weight Lifting have announced their initial Commonwealth Games Training Squad, and we are delighted to share that TeamUCL Elite Athlete Deborah Alawode was one of the thirty individuals selected!
The Commonwealth Training Squad is made up of top performing athletes who are either on a trajectory to win medals, finish in the top 6 at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games or have the potential to medal at future Commonwealth Games in 2026. We wish you the best of luck Deborah!!
