We’re fundraising to support even more students with the cost of living. Last academic year we awarded more than £215,000 in hardship grants, helping students pay bills, deal with emergencies, and get involved in student life.

We’re awarding more hardship grants than ever, and we’re always looking for ways to keep our grant fund topped up, helping us support more and more students.

We’ve joined forces with EasyFundraising to make it super easy for anyone and everyone to help keep our hardship funds topped up – without having to donate a penny.

EasyFundraising partners with over 7,000 brands who donate part of what you spend online to a cause of your choice. It doesn’t cost you any extra. 100% of the donation we receive is covered by the brand.

If you’re shopping online at places like eBay, Etsy, or the Trainline, a percentage of what you spend can be donated to us at no cost to you. We’ll then grant that money to students facing financial hardship.

EasyFundraising is free to use and doesn’t add any cost to your online shopping.

How does it work?

Sign up for EasyFundraising. Login in with Apple, Facebook or your email. Then follow the steps from there.

Once you've set up an account on EasyFundraising, you'll have the option to install their browser extension - they call it their Donation Reminder. It will pop up on every retailer site where a donation is available, which means you don’t have to remember to go to EasyFundraising first.

You can also download their App from the Apple or Google Play stores.

Hardship funding

We support students throughout their university life - helping them take on challenges, experience new things, form communities, and develop essential skills.

Our various hardship grants help students facing financial difficulty, support students participate in student life, and help students express their gender identity.
