So, it’s Sunday morning, you might be slightly hangover from last night’s shenanigans, or full of energy from a great night sleep and so you decide to make the most of this bright sunny day to take a little walk around town.

Here’s the best way to make the most out of this wonderful city we live in, let us take on a quick journey in one of my favourite part of town: the Southbank.

Start your day by taking a stroll around Borough Market and open your appetite by helping yourself to the myriad of free samples that it offers. Then carry on by treating yourself to a great brunch – it is Sunday after all - in one of the breakfast places that you can find in Borough. To only list a few, you could stop by the legendary Breakfast Club, the London Grind (right on the London Bridge), or The Table, tucked away in a street right behind the Tate Modern. If you wish to get the true British experience, you will find plenty pubs offering Sunday Roasts on Borough High Street.

After the marvellous feast full of eggs benedict and avocado toasts, take a little trip along the river to enjoy the fresh air – or as fresh as London air can get anyways – of Queen’s Walk by the Thames.

After making the most out of this beautiful scenery, sure to bring you some amazing content for your Instagram feed, step into the halls of the halls of the Tate Modern, where you will be able to enjoy a wide range of free exhibits. Go at the top of the new tower, which will offer you a breath-taking view of the city. Make sure to stop by the gift shop on your way out, it has a wide range of posters and other cool decorations that will give a little colour to the walls of your student flat. Don’t forget to show your student ID as you pay, for it will give you a 10% discount.

As you step out of the museum, carry on with your walk, and if you are feeling a bit peckish you will walk upon many street food stalls that offer a great selection of food from all around the world, in a true London fashion. As you get to Waterloo Bridge, you will find right under it a great open-air second hand bookshop with great deals on a vast array of literature content, as well as a respectable selection of prints. Don’t forget to bring some cash as they don’t all offer the opportunity to pay by card.

Finally, finish your walk by pushing to Westminster Bridge, where you will find yourself sitting on a bench looking upon the Parliament, and take a moment to take it all in, still amazed by the fact that you have the chance to live in one of the greatest cities on earth.
