Let's be honest. London living is expensive, which is why one of our Union promises is to always offer great value in our outlets. Here's some of the best cheap eats you can find in our Union spaces on campus from breakfast through to dinner.

If you haven't met them yet here's some of our top cheap eats on campus...

Breakfast

Two plates of food - one contains beans on toast and the other a breakfast pot containing a hash brown, beans, sausage and bacon.

Print Room Café is the place to go with all our breakfast options under £4 and available every weekday between 08:00 - 11:00. A classic beans on toast is just £1.50 and despite popular gossip you can have avocado on toast for breakfast without breaking the bank at just £2.00.

If you're looking for something more substantial our popular Breakfast Pots are back! That's right for just £3.90 you can enjoy a hash brown, sausage (vegan or meat) baked beans and bacon to start the day off right.

Budget buy: £1.50 for either beans or jam on toast.
New this year: It's never too early for dessert right? Apple pie and ice cream has arrived in Print Room for £4
Classic go to: Enjoy Print Room Café's classic bacon or sausage butty for just £3.00
Wild card: Grab n Go has tasty sweet and savoury pastries at competitive prices.

Lunch

Now breakfast is out of the way you can power through study sessions, or meet up with friends over lunch and you've got quite a lot of options for this one -

  • Print Room Café (served 12:00 - 15:00) has a wide range of choice and also our cheapest options with our best seller Jacket Potatoes starting at just £3.00. Other favourites include Soup of the Day or Mac N Cheese.
  • George Farha Café (served from 11:00 - close) offers tempting curries including Chicken Katsu, Vege Gyozas tofu and chicken teriyaki options all for less than £7. Next door in Grab & Go our completely plant-based outlet offers plenty of vegetarian and vegan options to take away.
  • Gordon's Café (served from noon) in addition to our tasty panini range we've got some delicious Indian-inspired hot meals to try for £6.50 or less from pitta pockets to chana masala curry.

Sweet tooth?

Never fear! There's Fwip ice cream in most of our cafés as well as vegan ice cream offering from Jude's.

Top Tip: Try Print Room Café's vegetarian friendly waffles in their signature syrup, Nutella and banana or blueberry and ice-cream flavours all for £4.00 or less.

Dinner

A surprise entry form our bars! Head over to The Institute in IOE of an evening where in addition to some great drink deals (both alcoholic and not) they serve up tasty pizza once the Kitchen opens from 16:00. Start with your classic margherita and choose your toppings to create your ultimate pizza. Check back soon for prices.

The rumours are true George Farha Café will be opening select weekday evenings to serve all your night out cravings with a burger and hot dog menu at prices you'll love.

Budget buy: Half price pizza on Mondays in Institute when you buy any drink.
New this year: Grab a katsu burger or hot dog in George Farha Café after 17:00 all less than £5.
Wild card: Head over to Print Room Café on the last Thursday of the month when our lunch menu extends into evening for Café Lates and enjoy this months entertainment.

All our cafés also have free free hot and cold water available.
