Academic Rep in Focus: Anoushka Kaur Ichpanani
Anoushka is an Undergraduate Faculty Rep for the Faculty of Laws and a second year LLB Law student. When she nominated herself to be a Faculty Rep, Anoushka was already an active member of the law community at UCL and wanted to use her experience to foster better communication within the Faculty.
Anoushka was also awarded Academic Rep of the Month for December for her efforts in trying to make sure Law students have an easy and stress-free experience as much as possible.
As the second-year representative as well as the Faculty representative for UG Laws, I strive to make every possible effort to raise issues and concerns that are brought to me. A big part of this is actively seeking out feedback, which I do each week by putting out messages on our course group chats requesting feedback from students for specific modules, teaching and pastoral issues.
Law as a course is quite demanding and so my main aim is easing any avoidable stress and confusion by lending a ear to my course mates and relaying their concerns as effectively as possible. To decompress, I enjoy browsing bookshops (The Waterstones on Gower St is lovely), trying new food and film photography. I look forward to the upcoming term!
