This weekend, Queen Elizabeth celebrates her Platinum Jubilee after 70 years on the throne. London is packed with Jubilee events - here are 5 ways you can get involved in the celebrations without spending a penny.

1) Hit up the Jubilee parade!
If you do anything this weekend, we'd recommend going along to the Platinum Jubilee Pageant - a parade of street art, dance, theatre, music and more. It's being held near Buckingham Palace from 14:30 - 17:00 on Sunday 5 June. If you're lucky, Queen Liz might invite you in for a cuppa after. Find more details here.
2) Get creative at Coal Drops Yard
Artist Samme Snow is running creative drawing workshops from Friday - Sunday at Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross. A great opportunity to take some time out from your day, even if you're not artistically gifted. You'll also recieve a free goody bag when you attend - convinced? Book here.

3) Join a Street Party!
Wembley's Box Park are holding a huge street party - crafts, quizzes, DJs and live music, all for free. However, you might find it hard not be tempted by the amazing selection of food vendors around you. You have been warned... book for free here.
4) Take a look at some royal memorabilia
Borrowed from staff, visitors and the local community, Sir John Soane's Museum will have a range of royal memorabilia on display. If you've ever wanted to see a rare jar of 2011 Jubilee Marmite up close, this is your chance. The museum is also super close to campus, so you won't have to go far. Check out the museum's website here.

5) Something a little less royal...
If you're looking for something a little different to do this weekend, you can't miss the Hot Air Balloon Reggata. Dozens of hot air balloons will take to the skies on Sunday 5 June to raise money for the Lord Mayor's charity. Find out more on the official website.
