RUMS Music Society is a fun and inclusive space to nurture and showcase the musical talent within RUMS and UCL. We take a relaxed approach to playing all kinds of music, welcoming all abilities from beginner to professional. We run multiple music groups, volunteer and hold concerts where groups and soloists alike can exhibit their musical skills. So whatever you play, however well you sing, come and have a go!

RUMS Choir

Tuesdays 6-7:30pm - Conference Room (2nd floor, Bloomsbury Theatre Building, 15 Gordon Street)

Our non-auditioned, fun, friendly and relaxed mixed choir welcomes singers of absolutely any ability who would like to sing in a group. The choir covers a wide genre of music from classical to modern, so there should be something for everyone!

RUMS String Ensemble

Tuesdays 7:30-9pm - South Quad Pop Up Block - Room 2 (opposite Print Room Cafe)

Our string ensemble is fairly informal and non-auditioned, and provides a space for those violinists, violists and cellists who want to continue playing while at university.

Fridays 6-7:30pm -  Dance Studio (1st floor, Lewis' Building, 136 Gower Street)

Our auditioned all-female a cappella group are basically Pitch Perfect - we sing, we dance, we put on a great show and have loads of fun. You don't need tons of confidence to perform, just a friendly group of people around you. So, if you love to sing, come and audition!

Chordiac Arrest

Tuesdays 7:30-9pm - Music Practice Room 2 (2nd floor above the Huntley bar)

Our auditioned male barbershop group is a fantastic opportunity for any male voices who enjoy singing in close harmony and are interested in barbershop style music.
