UCL Futsal Club aims to offer a warm and welcoming environment for anybody at UCL to regularly play Futsal.
What is Futsal?
Futsal is a 5-a-side version of standard football and it’s played indoor. Very popular among more technically gifted players but any skill group is welcome.
Taster Sessions
We will be holding a taster session on October 6th and on the 13th from 8:30 till 10:00pm at Somers Town Sports Centre. This session is inclusive of all genders and all levels and will also act as a trial session for the captains of the 1st and 2nd team to select their players.

Trials
We will have trials for competitive teams happening October 5th at Leyton. You must purchase free tickets for the session. The teams will be flexible, so changes will happen throughout the year. Please check our trials ticket page on the what’s on calendar.
Weekly Sessions
Our sessions will be on Friday from 8:30 to 10:00pm at the Somers Town Sports Centre for the social members and the day for the competitive members is yet to be confirmed. These sessions are inclusive of any gender and will most likely be casual mini-knockout tournaments. There will also be more social events to be confirmed in the upcoming future.
Memberships
There are three possible memberships available:
- Free: Necessary in order to be able to play at the taster session on Fridays 6th and 13th of October
- Social (35£): Required in order to play at Somers town every Friday
- Competitive (70£): Only for those who have been selected in one of the two teams and that will be taking part in the BUCS/LUSL leagues
Friendly Matches and Tournaments
The competitive teams will be playing in two leagues, one in BUCS and the other one in LUSL.
There will also be friendly games organized throughout the year for the social members.
Additional information
We are also currently working on a women's team. If we do get enough numbers at the taster session, the team should be created shortly after with also regular weekly sessions. Please do not hesitate to come join us in our tasters as we provide enjoyable and relaxed games for everyone.
