Royal Free, University College and Middlesex Medical Students' Badminton Club (Est. 1998)

The club for people with reflexes and speed! Join us for socialising and friendly competitions in the fastest racket sport. We accept all medics and non-medics who are up for playing competitively or just having fun! Our club has one of the most diverse offerings in RUMS, with the option to try out for our high achieving team, play casually with our social squad on a Wednesday afternoon, or to simply find a fun, welcoming, friendly community!

We host weekly Sportsnights in Mully's, as well as other regular social events throughout the year, and make it our mission to be a friendly, inclusive club, with offerings for anyone who would like to join. Team members have the opportunity to receive coaching and play competitively against other universities in London and beyond. Our Social Badminton sessions run every Wednesday in the Royal Free Recreational Club and are open to all members. We also run a weekly Development Squad every Sunday in Somers Town Sports Centre, which is open to all members and provides the opportunity for more advanced players to assist beginner and intermediate players with their skills development!

RUMS Badminton also has a well established education wing, holding regular tutorials for all year groups in the MBBS programme, and annual student-facilitated mock CPSA (OSCE) exams, which are open to all members! We are also continuously growing our charity and welfare wings, having previously worked with charities such as Anthony Nolan, and organised student welfare events, such as a crepe and board games evening.

We look forward to seeing you on the court or in the bar!
