🌍 Join Us for Language & Culture Day at UCL Bloomsbury

A one-off cultural exchange between UCL students and local primary school children.

Do you love sharing your language, culture, or traditions? Want to inspire young learners in a fun, interactive way? Language & Culture Day is your chance to do just that.

We are looking for volunteers to deliver engaging workshops for visiting primary school pupils at UCL, introducing them to different languages, cultures, traditions, people, and geography through games, storytelling, and hands-on activities. No teaching experience is required.

You’ll be fully supported throughout, by Educational Specialists and staff, to plan your activities and ensure the visiting pupils have a meaningful and enriching experience.

You’ll help young people explore new languages and cultures, celebrate diversity, and spark curiosity all while developing your own communication, presentation, and teamworking skills.

To support your involvement, in-London travel expenses will be reimbursed.

 Commitment

To take part, you must:

1. Attend a compulsory planning meeting on Tuesday 3 February, 12–2pm
2. Organise at least one additional group meeting to finalise workshop details
3. Be available on 24 February, 9am–2pm for the event
4. Engage positively in a cultural exchange with local school pupils
