Who we are

The Institute of Imagination (iOi) is a pioneering children’s education charity. We design and deliver Science Technology Engineering Art and Maths (STEAM) learning experiences for children aged 5-11 years old in school and community settings across the UK.

What is a Day of Play?

A Day of Play is an exciting and fun off-timetable day delivered in primary schools. The purpose is to reimagine learning, putting play and creativity at the heart of the school day, to offer children and teachers an experience that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Volunteers are vital to the delivery of the day and support in a range of ways - setting up materials and equipment, classroom support, capturing teacher and student feedback data, supporting student learning by asking and answering questions, helping clearing up, sharing their feedback and much, much more.
