Trumpism 2.0 signals a new era of capitalist turmoil. At home, amidst nazi salutes and vile racist rhetoric, Trump and his billionaire ‘broliogarchy’ are carrying out vicious attacks on workers, migrants and trans people. On foreign policy, the administration is pursuing a more naked form of imperialist aggression threatening land grabs in Greenland and Panama, eyeing minerals in Ukraine, and pouring petrol on the flames of an already unstable Middle East.
But far from a lone madman, Trump is the product of decaying world capitalism which in general is becoming more volatile, militaristic and hellish for workers and oppressed people the world over. In this discussion we’ll review the first 2 months of his presidency and ask how we can build an international movement of solidarity and struggle against Trump, the far-right and the system they defend.
