Starting a master’s this year? Want to get a head start on your dissertation? Come and see what the Community Research Initiative (CRIS) is all about. At CRIS, we bring master’s students together with charities and the voluntary sector to share ideas and discuss what the really important social questions are - what really would make a difference to people’s lives or what would really help a campaign, what would really bring on the knowledge on a topic.

These ideas could be the start of an exciting, collaborative project for your dissertation. Do some good with your dissertation and have some fun, learning new skills at the same time. We provide everything you need throughout the year, including 1:1 support, networking opportunities, and skills development sessions. First, come and be inspired by some of last year’s students.

Be part of movement! Be part of CRIS!

Exciting keynote speakers confirmed! Muki HaklayJim Onyemenam, and Caroline Rouse from Compost London will be presenting at the event.

There is so much uncertainty right now but one thing we are sure about is that all efforts to develop collaborative research should absolutely be celebrated!

Are you new to UCL for studying a master’s during 2021-22? Come and be inspired at this event to share power, create new knowledge, and do something meaningful with your dissertation!

Expect a fun and inspiring event, with short presentations from some of our 2020-21 alumni students and organisations sharing their personal experiences and learning from a community engaged research project.
