Inspired by the 'plastic treasures' from her lockdown River Thames litter picks, Flora launched Washed Up Cards, decorating greeting cards with beach plastic to spread awareness about plastic pollution.
Fast forward to today Washed Up Cards is now a social enterprise where Flora runs beach cleans and creative workshops to help people connect with nature, improve mental wellbeing all while tackling the plastic crisis with hope.
Backed by 7 years in sustainability at Rubies in the Rubble (condiments from surplus fruit and veg) and Notpla (packaging made from seaweed). Flora is looking forward to sharing her journey and connecting with everyone at the UCL Sustainability Leadership Conference 2025.
