The UCL Surgical Society presents a 10-part workshop series to provide medical students with the opportunity to learn and practise essential surgical skills in a structured, hands-on environment.
Session Details:
Explore the principles of wound debridement, management of contaminated wounds, and hands-on practice in securing surgical drains and purse-string sutures.
Each session is delivered by surgical trainees and offers:
- Hands-on practice in core surgical skills
- Guidance and immediate feedback from experts
- Progressive skill-building across sessions
- A certificate upon completion
Who can attend?
Open to all UCL medical students, no prior surgical experience required.
What to bring:
All equipment and materials will be provided. Please wear suitable clothing for a clinical skills setting.
