Join the Women's Network in an inter-uni night walk to round off the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence on Wednesday 10th December.
This walk is intended as a moment of unity and collective visibility: a symbolic way for students to walk together in solidarity with women and gender-diverse people who often feel unsafe at night. By walking side-by-side, the aim is to demonstrate that safety is a shared responsibility and that no one should feel alone moving through the city after dark. The walk will begin at 6pm, and will take place in central London (no more than 5km, with the option to join or leave at any point).
Additionally, information about unsafe areas, poor lighting, harassment hotspots, and other safety concerns will be collected via this form. The insights gathered will contribute to a London Night Safety Map, which will be shared with universities, the Mayor’s Office, and the Metropolitan Police to support practical improvements to night-time safety.
Please fill out the form if you'd like to participate in the walk. Details about the meet-up point and map will be provided on the contact information shared on the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdYP5UclVTXiU4cLn5_5BfF9KLe9Bf…
