Ever wanted to leave your mark on space? Join artist Dr. Sarah Fortais in creating Cosmic Debris - a striking new artwork exploring our impact on space junk. You’ll get to make a life cast of your hand, which will become part of a public art installation at UCL’s Marshgate Building during World Space Week 2025.
This is a rare chance to literally have a hand in raising awareness about space debris, a growing issue with over 25,000 artificial objects orbiting Earth. After the exhibition, your cast will be returned to you - a personal piece of space-inspired art!
The process is simple and very hands-on. You’ll dip your hand into a skin-safe moulding material, which will then be cast in metallic plaster to resemble cosmic debris. You can find out more here!
Places are limited, so book your spot for either a morning or afternoon session. 🚀✨
