Celebrate the spirit of giving back at one of our Big Help Out events this holiday season! As a student at UCL, you immediately are part of a student community of 50,000. But, as big as it is, our student community is also a really important part of the Camden and London communities as well.
What's a Big Help Out?
Big Helps Outs are about individual small action having huge impact when we all come together! Plus, isn't it way more fun to do stuff with other people? At our events, you'll always find a friendly student or staff face to make sure you feel comfortable and safe with us. And the best thing about doing an activity with new people is there's no pressure to get on or make besties - you've got something else to be focused on, right!?
Taking part in group activities - especially outdoor activities - may help your mental health and doing something with social purpose has been shown to improve your feelings of wellbeing!
What can I expect from these events?
- Meet Like-Minded People: Connect with fellow members of our UCL community who care about social action and are eager to make a positive impact.
- Get Active: Enjoy getting out and about, and take the time to explore what's available just outside UCL's doorstep.

| 7th December | The Big Crafting Help Out | We get it - it's dark and cold and London can feel gloomy at this time of year. Why not think ahead, to brighter spring days in the city? We've got the perfect opportunity for you - planting bulbs for Spring 2025 and bringin' the wildlife! | 11th December | The Big Holiday Help Out | The holidays should be magical for all children, right? Many families are having a really tough time and the holidays can be especially hard. The Kindness Offensive have 1000s of donated toys that need sorting - taken off the lorries at the warehouse, unpacked, and sorted into age-appropriate piles.
