Celebrate the spirit of giving back at one of our Big Help Out events this holiday season! As a student at UCL, you immediately are part of a student community of 50,000. But, as big as it is, our student community is also a really important part of the Camden and London communities as well.
What's a Big Help Out?
Big Helps Outs are about individual small action having huge impact when we all come together! Plus, isn't it way more fun to do stuff with other people? At our events, you'll always find a friendly student or staff face to make sure you feel comfortable and safe with us. And the best thing about doing an activity with new people is there's no pressure to get on or make besties - you've got something else to be focused on, right!?
Taking part in group activities - especially outdoor activities - may help your mental health and doing something with social purpose has been shown to improve your feelings of wellbeing!
This event is part of 28 Days of Sustainability, UCL’s month-long festival packed with talks, workshops, film screenings, and more: all designed to spark action and learning around sustainability. Find out more on!
What can I expect from these events?
- Meet Like-Minded People: Connect with fellow members of our UCL community who care about social action and are eager to make a positive impact.
- Get Active: Enjoy getting out and about, and take the time to explore what's available just outside UCL's doorstep.
- Feel-Good Vibes: Experience the satisfaction of giving back to your community and knowing you’re playing a part in making a difference.
There's lots on so scroll down for all the details on events happening in January & February. We've got some exclusive spots for UCL students on two major conservation projects from Communi-trees. You can get involved just once or do all three days for either one of the projects to really see the whole project impact. Totally up to you and your availability. Read more about each activity and book your spot really easily. Most activities have limited capacity, so it's always best to book a spot to avoid disappointment.
Also your travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed!
