Now the excitement of the Christmas season is over, we invite you to forget about the winter weather and Beat the January Blues. Join us for a cup of tea, a cookie, and some quiet time with 'Common Ground', a new and immersive art installation at UCL East.

Located in the First Floor Galleries in the Marshgate building, Common Ground is an immersive photographic installation that explores the role of nature in shaping our mental health. This new installation by UCL artist James Berrington will be accompanied by the sound of birdsong, and you will be immersed in an ancient English woodland.

Once you've enjoyed your cuppa, why not continue your contemplation on a walk around the Olympic Park?

This event is free and open to all UCL students. We welcome you to book your ticket in advance or drop in on the day.

Find out what else is happening during the Beat the January Blues campaign from Monday 20th - Friday 31st January 2025.
