We welcome the Senior Publishing Editor of the Royal Society to join our Term 1 Evening Talks Series. Andrew Dunn, one of UCL’s own, is the public face of Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical & Engineering Sciences, ensuring the journal's continuing development and success. He will review his own unique journey into his senior role with this timeless organisation.

A graduate from University of York in Biochemistry, Andrew initially decided that he wished to seek out an alternative route, completing his Masters in History at UCL. He went onto compete in University Challenge, representing UCL. His career then led him to publishing and editing, currently working at the Royal Society, leading an in-house team to ensure that submitted manuscripts are rigorously assessed and peer-reviewed, so only the most important, broadly interesting and novel research is published by this high-quality interdisciplinary journal. Andrew will share his story and what makes exceptional submissions for those seeking to publish with the Royal Society.
