UCL Drama Society present the WIP show of their Edinburgh Fringe 2024 comedy, Hello, Hi, Good Evening, Bye! Over the course of one hour, the decades old Rubber Rabbit comedy troupe is totally undone by fear, greed, jealousy and other irrational impulses. As they negotiate their own place of obscurity and impotence within a burning world, that has long left them behind, they find themselves, one by one, being replaced by seemingly younger actors who are identical to them. As their relationships to one another are tested and strained, they must also perform that night’s sketches to a live TV audience, which provides the actual audience (YOU!) the opportunity to vote on which sketches you (YES, REALLY YOU!) want to see. A comedy of unquantifiable dread, (though hopefully not a dreadful comedy), Hello, Hi, Good Evening, Bye! considers what it means to be an actor and an artist at a time when the stage is the only place in the world where nothing of importance is happening.
