Armando Bó is an Oscar winning Argentinian screenwriter and director. He's one of the main figures in the new wave of Latin American filmmakers working in Hollywood and has collaborated with director Gonzalez Iñarritu in Biutiful (2010) and Birdman (2014), which was awarded with the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Coming from a family of iconic Argentinian actors and film directors, Armando worked in advertisement before going to study Film in the New York Film Academy.

On Monday, 31 January, we'll be screening his first feature movie The Last Elvis (2012) which won the East End Festival and allowed Bó to settle his career in LA.

He will be joining us for a 1h15 Q&A at the Harrie Masley Lecture Theatre on Wednesday, 2 February where you will be able to ask him questions about his career, valuable industry advice and details about his work.

While the Q&A will be conducted over zoom, we recommend attending in person as we will be providing a platform for questions and an opportunity to discuss them afterwards!

We look forward to see you at both events!
