We are running this event again due to popular demand: Come visit one of London's most iconic museums in the heart of South Kensington with UCL Space Society! Enjoy discounted tickets (on sale soon) for the coveted "Could Life Exist Beyond Earth" exhibition, normally £12.70 for students and only £4 with us. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to meet some like-minded space enthusiasts!
This exhibition features an instrument called Laser SETI, build by Eliot Gillum and his team. We will be hosting a Q&A with Eliot about the exhibition on 17th October - a truly amazing opportunity to ask your questions about the exhibition directly to the person responsible for building the instrument. SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) is an institution UCL Space Soc worked with last academic year. We held a conference with KCL Space Soc last year, discussing the Fermi Paradox (if you haven't heard of it, look it up - very cool stuff). This is just one example of the amazing opportunities you will find once you join our society.
People from all disciplines are welcome. Whether you're an astrophysics PhD student, or a Language and Culture fresher who just wants to learn more about space, we will welcome you with open arms. You'll get to see what Space Soc is all about - finding community, expanding your knowledge and exploring all of the wonderful space-related events London has to offer. You will also meet our wonderful committee, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our society!
Where & when: We will be meeting at NHM at 16:00. If you would like to travel with us, we will be meeting on campus at 15:00 (in front of the cruciform building). PLEASE BRING YOUR STUDENT IDs. You will not be granted access to the exhibition otherwise.
Buy your tickets quickly - events like these tend to sell out VERY quickly... (not a marketing strategy, just some friendly advice!). We very much look forward to seeing you!
xoxo,
Your Space Soc committee <3
