Required field
Describe to someone from a non-academic background the field or discipline that your programme sits within e.g. anthropology, data analytics, developmental education.
Write a short description that would help those outside UCL to understand what your students are like, why they come on your programme, the kinds of fields they typically want to work in or come from.
Please be sure to write this for a totally non-academic reader. Perhaps like you were presenting to a group of 12 year olds at school.
Help someone with a non-academic background to understand the kinds of projects your students tend to be interested in for their dissertations. This can be topics of interest e.g. climate change, or can be methods e.g. heat map methods, or can be programme staff research areas.
You're trying to help someone understand whether their work and interests for new knowledge and research macthes with what your students can do. Saying your students take an anthropological approach doesn't necessarily mean anything to anyone outside the university setting.
If applicable, please list any policies that underpin any of the programme content.
