We are looking for new volunteers!
UCL's Women in Finance Society will be running a volunteering programme and we want you to be a part of it. Join us to help empower young girls from the age of 16 to 18 in less advantaged schools so they can get the same opportunities as you.
You will be helping them understand the difference between a university degree and apprenticeships and what they can gain from each, how they can best achieve their goals, how they can gain experience for their CV, and what to expect from work experience in the City.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed students who have a passion for helping others and have an understanding of the financial sector. All are encouraged to apply, irrespective of the degree you are studying.
We offer two types of volunteering opportunities and you are welcome to apply to either or both!
- Workshop volunteer: Come along with us to the schools and help us deliver the workshops! You will have to commit to a weekly time slot of 1.5 - 2 hours.
- Mentor: Become a mentor to one or more sixth form students! You will communicate with them through email and answer their questions on university applications, personal statements and life at UCL.
