To provide support and information to women with endometriosis and thier families, to raise awareness and campaign for better services and more research into this common but poorly understood disease. Provide clear, accessible information; provide peer-to-peer support via a helpline, support groups and social media forums; increase knowledge and raise awareness amongst women, the medical profession and the general population; and to support and undertake research into the causes, treatments and cause of this disease. 1 in 10 women suffer from a disease you've probably never heard of ' endometriosis. Endometriosis is one of the most common gynaecological diseases which can cause excruciating pain (particularly around periods), debilitating fatigue, painful sex as well as other symptoms and impact on all aspects of a young woman's life including affecting fertility. Around 1.5million UK women aged between 12-45 years have endometriosis and Endometriosis UK provides support and information to anyone who needs help when dealing with this chronic condition.
