Dyslexia FeelGood Funday (DFGF) is funded and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
We are a brand NEW organisation having only started in August 2023.
DFGF is a series of FREE! interactive arts-based events primarily for dyslexics & neurodivergents of all ages, but allies and the neuro-majority are also free to attend and most welcome.
DFGF is also a CIC, community interest company, Dyslexia FeelGood Funday CIC with the company no. 14964810.
Ahead of the Funday due to take place this 9 March 2024 and Colour the Music the FREE! online music & art workshop happening on 18 May, we have run Taster Sessions with a couple of the DFGF Artists who will be hosting sessions & activities at the all-day 9 March event.
The FREE! online Taster Sessions & FREE! Funday Workshops & Drop-in Stalls will be in spoken word, under 5s fun, drama/theatre performance, arts and crafts, dance, music and lots more.
The purpose behind DFGF is for neurodivergents and dyslexics in particular to:
- help build confidence,
- also to build skills
- enable development & help visitors/audiences to thrive
- improve wellness,
- provide the opportunity to make connections, meet like-minded individuals and
- simply to have FUN!
