Description
In this role you will:
- Help plan activities and events
- Help set up the room and run the events/activities such as Coffee Morning/ day outs and help tidy up the room afterwards
- Help to facilitate the event and engage with parent and carers
- Help to identify and refer if the parent carer needs further more in-depth support from Supporting Families Team.
- Help to encourage parent/carers to participate and enjoy themselves
Duties
- Help set up the activity and the room
- To help making tea and coffees during the event
- Engage with parents and carers and encourage them to participate
- Assess those with mobility needs to safely access the venue or activity
- Attending supervision meetings for guidance and support.
- Adhere to Centre 404’s policies and procedures / code of conduct.
- Take part in training to help inform your role.
- Ensure parents complete evaluations forms.
- To ensure parents attendance is recorded.
- Develop relationships with parent carers that are respectful, based on mutual trust, and that maintains professional boundaries.
- To prepare the session with fellow volunteer/ Peer to Peer Coordinator
- Ensure the group adheres to the Ground Rules.
