Tutor The Nation
Tutor The Nation is a charity that makes education fairer, one tutoring session at a time. We pair dedicated volunteers with disadvantaged state school pupils to provide free, online tuition with the aim of helping tutees to develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.

We are looking for student ambassadors to help us spread the word about Tutor The Nation on university campuses across the UK through social media channels and by representing our charity at in-person events.

What will you gain?

  • An expenses-paid, in-person training day to meet other ambassadors and the Tutor The Nation team
  • Experience representing the organisation at Freshers’ and Volunteering Fairs
  • Expertise in social media management using our platforms to reach potential volunteers
  • The chance to organise events with volunteers at your University
  • The opportunity to steer the strategic direction of TTN’s volunteer recruitment by offering your ideas and insights
  • Skills that will boost your CV and set you apart from the crowd

Time commitment

The time commitment will be flexible, but we expect it will require a couple of hours each week, with a busier period in September and October.
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
This is a remote opportunity

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
