The UK Sapphire Foundation
We have over 5 years experience working in Islington, Hackney, Camden, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich and Lambeth. We have worked with over 5000 young people and families till date especially those from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds. The Sapphire Foundation aims to equip young people to not only be their best version of themselves but also inspire them to have a genuine insight of…

Sapphire has been in partnership with Our Forgotten Neighbours since August 2020, with the aim to reduce hunger in Aldgate, London and surrounding areas.
At present, we support over 100 individuals and families facing food poverty and/or at risk of being homeless, as well as those who are homeless.
The team meet outside Toynbee Hall (Commercial Street, E1 6LS) at 5pm every Thursday. Our Forgotten Neighbours collect food donations from local food suppliers, as well as provide the physical furnishing required for the event. Sapphire mobilises volunteers to collect donations from food providers, including Pret, M&S and Greggs. After the food has been dropped off at the soup kitchen volunteers are more than welcome to stay and distribute the food .
