We are embarking on launching a number of local guided walks we have developed on unique ‘hidden heritage’ and urban change in the area of Somers Town St Pancras (more) , with the goal of attracting both tourists and residents. The income generated from these walks we hope will supports the museum’s ongoing community and other operations.
We are seeking for 2 - 3 research volunteers to conduct primary research to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from current and potential users of the tours to understand their potential audience as market research and audience development to ascertain audiences exists, what they breakdown is, what preferences for time and days, and how best to reach and engage them.
This research will help us enhance the strategy for guided walks and the museum’s overall visitor experience. This information will help us refine our promotional strategy and pricing model.
- Data collection: Gather feedback from tourists and local residents about their experiences with the guided walks and museum through interviews, focus groups, and surveys (conducted both in-person and online). Identify what they enjoyed about the walks, how they discovered them, and areas for improvement.
- Design the qualitative and quantitative tools to gather information.
- Conduct interviews or surveys to understand visitor preferences and experiences with the museum and guided tours.
- Analyse feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in terms of promotion, accessibility, and engagement.
- Provide insights into how to better engage target audiences and enhance the visitor experience based on research findings.
