Description
Volunteer to drive our members with learning disabilities around in our minibus and get free driving training.
We have a minibus to take members to events and trips but only have a handful of drivers! You would need to have a full driving license with no convictions and we'd pay for your training and test to drive a van. This wouldn't be a regular commitment, we'd get in touch when we had an event which needed a driver.
This is a chance to join a fun intentional community and join our members on day trips. If you like driving and want to upskill and learn to drive a van, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Duties
You'll be completing training to get your minibus license and then will drive our van when we have trips.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
The volunteers will be supported by the Volunteer Coordinator but on a day to day basis they will work with the members with learning disabilities and the assistants who support our members. The training is with a company called Minerva.
Training
Receive free training to drive a minibus.
Oppportunity to do a variety of trainings including first aid, sign language, health and safety, and autism awareness.

Time commitment
This is very flexible - once you've got the license, we would get in touch with you when we had a trip that needed a driver. This would probably be about once a month.
