The People's Classroom is a grassroots education charity originally established as a student-led programme through the UCL Volunteering Service Unit (VSU). Partner schools refer Year 11 students who need additional support to access our 12-week tuition programme. Students on our programmes are from high-deprivation communities which includes refugee and forced migrant students.
As a tutor, you will:
- Lead 10 weekly tuition sessions for your assigned tutee at partner school sites. You will also work collaboratively with fellow tutors to run group tuition sessions.
- Guide students through a campus tour of the university and lead a presentation masterclass at UCL.
- Attend a graduation ceremony hosted at a corporate partner office in Central London.
