Mind With Heart
Mind with Heart is an award-winning UK-based charity training teachers and students in sustainable wellbeing, emotional health and social connection.
Description

Help bring more wellbeing, connection and peace into education.

How can we help more teachers and students discover practical ways to support emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships and create a more peaceful school environment? Mind With Heart is looking for a creative, motivated student to help us reach new audiences and bring our work to more educational communities.

Mind With Heart is an international charity working to nurture sustainable wellbeing, emotional health and social connection in education. We offer training, workshops and practical resources that help people develop greater self-awareness, empathy and the skills to build positive relationships.

This is an opportunity to develop your marketing and communication skills while contributing to a meaningful social purpose. You’ll have scope to bring your own ideas, experiment with different ways of reaching people, and help turn promising connections into real opportunities for collaboration.

Duties

What you’ll do

  • Promote our Circle of Peace workshop: Help us find participants for our online workshop https://CircleOfPeace.eventbrite.co.uk on Tuesday 3 November, 4–5.30pm, designed mainly for PSHE teachers interested in introducing practical peacemaking tools to students. You’ll use Mind With Heart’s social media accounts, as well as relevant networks and direct outreach, to spread the word and encourage registrations.
  • Grow our reach on social media: Help us use our existing channels to connect with new audiences, share engaging content and raise awareness of Mind With Heart’s work. Suggest creative ways to reach teachers, students and others interested in wellbeing, emotional health and social connection.
  • Promote events and training: Communicate upcoming workshops, courses and training opportunities, adapting messages for different audiences
  • Find new audiences and partners: Research schools, universities, teacher networks, student societies and other educational organisations that may be interested in our work.
  • Build connections: Make initial contact with potential partners and explore opportunities to introduce a wellbeing, empathy or social connection project within a school, university or other educational setting.
  • Develop and test ideas: Experiment with different approaches to marketing and outreach, see what works, and share your findings and recommendations with the team.

You’ll be encouraged to take initiative and shape the role around your interests and strengths. Whether you enjoy social media, writing, research, networking or creative campaign ideas, this is an opportunity to develop practical skills while helping bring more wellbeing, connection and peace into education.

Training
• Informal training tailored to your interests and experience
• Ongoing guidance and regular check-in support from the Mind With Heart team
• Hands-on mentoring in social media outreach, marketing, and educational community engagement

Time commitment

We anticipate a commitment of around 2–4 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements to fit around your studies.

A brief weekly check-in with a Mind With Heart trustee will provide an opportunity to share progress, exchange ideas and agree priorities. You’ll have support from the team, while being encouraged to take ownership of your activities and develop your own ideas.

The role can be undertaken mainly remotely. We hope to work with you over a few months, allowing time to promote immediate opportunities, build relationships and explore potential collaborations with educational organisations. The start date and overall duration can be agreed together.
