Working side by side with the Marketing and Communications Manager to draft and share social media posts on different platforms. If you are more proficient with one platform, we can focus on that and help you develop your skills on the other platforms. We will share our services, events, testimonials, media, press, call-outs for volunteers, recruitment, donation drives, and news on our different channels.
We like to have different personas and tones for different platforms but you can work alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager to help you draft great content that is suitable for different audiences. We interact with clients, their carers, government officials, stakeholders, local businesses, national branches of Age UK and other organisations, and potential volunteers.
It’s an exciting and diverse role offering the opportunity to be an intrinsic part of brand-new organisational changes. Our team is growing and we need great individuals to help us thrive.
You may also help with the newsletter, analytics, light design work on Canva or sourcing content. You tell us what your skills are and we can work from there, as well as developing your skills as we work together.
We need as much help and time as you can give but prefer those who would like to commit to at least a few months of volunteering if possible. We can provide you with a great reference and new skills for your CV.
Time commitment
The time and day you volunteer is flexible but the Marketing and Communications Manager currently works on Tuesdays and Thursdays
We hope you can volunteer for a longer period as this will be better for your experience and the rapport we build.
