London Legal Support Trust
The London Legal Support Trust (LLST) raises funds, mostly from the legal profession, to support free legal advice centres (Law Centres and similar agencies)in London and the South East as well as helping them to improve and become more sustainable. We hold a number of large scale fundraising events throughout the year, with our main event being the London Legal Walk.

Join us at the 2023 London Legal Walk. Back for the 19th year, this mass participation event is the largest fundraiser in the legal calendar. Led by the Lord Chief Justice, 10,000 legal professionals will walk 10k in support of over 100 free legal advice charities.

We believe that people should be able to equally access legal support, advice, and representation if they need, irrespective of their financial position. The London Legal Walk raises much-needed funds for charities that will provide that life changing legal advice and representation.

As a marshal you will help us prepare the day, set up the street party and registration desks, and/or later be positioned along the route where it will be your role to direct walkers and offer support and encouragement as they go past. Afterwards, you are invited to join in the fun at the street party on Carey Street.

We need volunteers who are available on Tuesday 13 June 2023 and able to commit to the below times:

  • Set up role - 9:30- 3pm
  • Route marshal - 2:30pm - 9pm (200 needed)

The finer details will be provided to you in advance and at the briefing meeting on the day of the walk. At this meeting, you will collect your marshalling pack and learn which particular group you have been assigned to.

Volunteers will have a great time, first helping blow up lots of balloons and helping set up the street party, and then positioned on the route to cheer and guide the walkers. You will finish your evening by attending the brilliant street party at the finish line of the walk!

Time commitment

One off event on Tuesday 13th June. 2:30-9pm. Times can be flexible but must be discussed in advance.

We will also be looking for anyone who would be able to stay and help close down the event.
