NAZ
Naz is a sexual health and mental heath charity that serves Global Majority and LGBTQ+ populations across London. Our journey began with the explicit aim of raising awareness about HIV and ensuring that Brown, Black and Global Majority populations received the treatment they required.
Description

The NAZ Project works to reduce health inequalities among Black, Brown, Global Majority, and LGBTQ+ communities across London, with a focus on mental and sexual health. They deliver community programmes, research, and advocacy to challenge systemic inequalities.

They are seeking student volunteers for a literature review exploring how recent socio-political changes are affecting the wellbeing of Global Majority communities in London, with a focus on mental health and access to services. This is with the goal of understanding the root cause of mental and sexual health inequality, particularly in black and brown populations. Volunteers will help NAZ Project collect and interpret data that can inform future programmes and advocacy campaigns.

Duties
  • Design a literature review investigating the root cause of mental and sexual health inequality, particularly in black and brown populations.
  • Summarise relevant literature and produce summary report.

  • Present findings to NAZ staff.

  • Option to extend placement through fundraising research.
