The Castlehaven Community Association is dedicated to creating vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive spaces that enhance the quality of life for Camden residents. Our flagship project, the Elm Haven Community Garden, has transformed an anti-social urban green space into a thriving hub for connection, environmental learning, and well-being.
We are seeking research volunteers to conduct a literature review focusing on the impacts of urban green spaces like Elm Haven. This review will explore best practices and evidence from similar projects across the UK and beyond, helping us understand how designing out anti-social behaviour within urban green spaces, influences community wellbeing, environmental sustainability and local engagement.
- Research and analyze published studies and reports on the impact of urban green spaces on community well-being, sustainability, and engagement.
- Review relevant documents, such as Camden Council’s policies, the Camden Plan, and the State of the Borough report.
- Compile a summary of findings, highlighting key benefits and lessons learned from comparable initiatives.
