Bright Futures UK
Bright Futures UK was set up with the mission to support young people who are forced to take time out from education due to medical circumstances. Description

Bright Futures UK supports children and young people in successfully returning to education after extended absences caused by long-term mental health or physical conditions. Our mission is to ensure a smooth transition back to school, enabling them to focus on recovery without the added stress of falling behind academically.

Our dedicated volunteers provide tutoring, befriending, and mentoring services both online and in London hospitals. We understand the emotionally demanding nature of this work and are committed to providing volunteers with comprehensive training to enhance their preparedness and safeguard their well-being.

To further this commitment, we are seeking a team of volunteers to assist us in conducting a literature review and survey data analysis. This work will play a crucial role in shaping actionable recommendations for improving our volunteer training practices, ensuring our volunteers feel confident, supported, and equipped for their work.

Duties
  • Conduct a Literature Review: Research best practices in volunteer training within the charity, education, and healthcare sectors, focusing on supporting young people in hospital settings.
  • Analyse Survey Data: Examine survey responses from Bright Futures UK volunteers to identify their training needs and preferences.
  • Develop Recommendations: Create actionable recommendations to enhance volunteer training practices based on research and data analysis.
