Richmond AID is an organisation run by and for disabled people.Our MissionRichmond AID will empower disabled people to achieve greater independence and choice by providing a range of services and support. Description
Richmond and Kingston Volunteer Buddy:
Become a buddy to a young person with a disability in the Richmond or Kingston Borough. Help them to find independence in the community by travelling with them to activities in their local area while building a real friendship.
Benefits to the Volunteer:

Duties
Key Responsibilities and Objectives:
-Befriend a young person with disabilities between the ages of 14 ad 17.
-Travel with them on public transport in their local area to help them gain independence.
-Support them to learn valuable life skills such as time management and handling small amounts of money.
-Join us for our BuddyUp Group Outings which have previously been at Chessington World of Adventures, Adventure Golf, and Bowling.
-Make a difference in someone's life and have a great time.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
Disabled children aged 14-17.
Training
Volunteers will be given an in person training session, alongside an online safeguarding lesson.
Time commitment
Once a fortnight - morning, afternoon, evening or weekend! Whatever works for you and your buddy!
Minimum 6 months commitment is required.
