All about the organisation

Third Age Project was established over two decades ago in January 1997 to serve the needs of 1 in 4 of the local population who are over 60 years of age. Over the last two decades, it has become an important and popular facility within the borough of Camden and widely recognised as a successful multicultural community resource centre.
TAP’s mission is to turn on its head the prevalent view that the Third Age is a burden on society and promote the view old people are valuable and important assets to be placed at the very heart of a community. In doing so we transform older people’s lives, nurture creative aspirations, co-produce low-cost services and build community, reversing the declining quality of life and well-being of older adults.

A bit about the project

Third Age Project is a grassroots organisation whose objective is to reduce loneliness and support disadvantaged older people in Camden borough. They conduct an annual customer satisfaction survey from June-July evaluating the service provided, and need help analysing the data from the survey and writing this up into a general impact report. There is a mixed target audience for the report - including potential funders, the wider public, prospective service users, and for use on the charity website. Research volunteers can expect supported working environment for a practical and community-focused role, that combines data analysis, evaluation, and social impact work. The project would be especially valuable for volunteers interested in social research, public health, ageing, community development, or the charity sector.
