As a helpline volunteer you will answer phone calls and be the first point of contact at Age UK Islington’s (AUKI) helpline.

Time commitment

Because the training and administrative work required to get a volunteer set up is quite extensive, we are asking for a commitment of a minimum of 3-4 hours a week for at least 6 months, or two shifts per week for 3 months.
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
All the necessary PPE will be provided; we provide safety inductions for volunteers including clear social distancing guidelines; risk assessments are in place to protect people and activities; We constantly monitor the government guidelines and adhere to them all.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
